this is the plan of the nilometer................u can easily find that is squared ...............it is circular at the botton to be more convinient with water movement
the section view illustrates the three levels of the nilometer :
1- the people level
2- the man who take the readings level
3- the bottom level
we can give the second levels several horizontal levels as the water go up and down and it is clear that the stairs are the only circulation unit
